Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, is located on the Malay Peninsula in the state of Selangor. Home to over 7 million people, the city is the cultural, financial, and economic hub of the country. The famous Petronas Towers, the tallest twin buildings in the world, are located here. Residents, known as KLites, primarily speak Malay. The climate is tropical, with temperatures ranging from 23 to 33 °C. The best time to visit Kuala Lumpur is from May to July, when rainfall is lower. In 2018, the city attracted over 13 million tourists.
