Manille
Manila, the capital of the Philippines, lies on the island of Luzon where the Pasig River meets Manila Bay. With a population of over 24 million, counting Metro Manila and the surrounding provinces, it is one of the most densely populated areas in the world. The city combines a rich history with dynamic economic growth. It hosts the headquarters of international companies and the country's main seaport. Thanks to the tropical climate, Manila is best visited in the dry season, from December to May, when temperatures are more moderate.
